Charlotte Langeland Nakken is based in Bergen at the Institute of Marine Research, where she will be working on proteomics. The initial focus will be on developing proteomics methods to assess sediment communities but will also include proteomics analyses at individual organism level.
Charlotte’s academic background is in analytical chemistry, with a focus on mass spectrometry analysis. During her PhD, she developed screening methods to discover novel metabolites of oil pollutants (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) in fish using LC-HRMS.
We are very happy to have Charlotte on the team and look forward to working with her in the years to come!
